Actress Rita Edochie has responded to allegations suggesting that she has been covertly scheming to ruin the marriage between her husband’s nephew, Yul Edochie, and his estranged wife, May.
The turmoil in Yul’s household became public in April 2022 when he announced his marriage to actress Judy Austin Moghalu as his second wife, along with the news of their son. Rita was among those who criticized Yul’s second marriage and rallied support for May, asserting that Yul’s decisions were influenced and not ordinary.
However, in a recent Instagram post on Monday, Rita addressed claims made by some bloggers, stating that they reported her secretly working against May’s marriage despite her public support. Rita clarified that, contrary to the speculations, her aim is to facilitate reconciliation between Yul and May, ensuring they come back together in a peaceful and loving union.
In her post, Rita stated, “ALL I AM FIGHTING FOR IS TO SEE THEM COME BACK TOGETHER AS THE PEACEFUL AND LOVING UNION THEY HAVE BEEN AND IT MUST COME TO PASS IJMN.”
She emphasized her love for Yul, expressing that she would never speak ill of him or troll him online, given their familial relationship. Rita made it clear that her only concern lies with an unspecified individual, and she will persist in addressing the issue until the impediment is resolved.
Concerning May, Rita affirmed her deep affection, stating, “AS FOR QUEEN MAY, HEAVEN KNOWS MY LOVE FOR HER CAN NEVER BE MEASURED SO I REST MY CASE FOR NOW…” indicating her commitment to supporting May in whatever way possible.
