The rift between the two actresses had reached a boiling point, leading Iyabo to initiate legal action against Lizzy for alleged cyberbullying and defamation.

Initially, the case faced delays as Lizzy failed to appear in court, resulting in court letters being served at her residence.

The feud ignited when Lizzy accused several celebrities, indirectly targeting Iyabo, of exploiting the death of singer Oladimeji Aloba last year for personal gain.

Allegations were made on social media, insinuating misconduct and promiscuity on Iyabo’s part, including claims of involvement in a scandalous affair.

In November 2023, Iyabo threatened legal action against Lizzy, demanding retractions, apologies, and damages over the defamatory statements.
