Hadiza Bala Usman, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy and Coordination, stated that ministers failing to fulfill their mandates will be removed by the President.
Bala Usman, who also heads the Central Coordinating and Delivery Unit (CDCU), emphasized the seriousness of President Tinubu in delivering on promises to improve the lives of Nigerians during the opening of the technical retreat in Uyo.
She urged delivery officers and directors of planning to fully commit, stating that their role is crucial in assessing ministerial progress and reporting challenges to the CDCU. The retreat aimed to introduce delivery officers to the framework for progress tracking and enhance their capacity for monitoring the delivery plan.
Bala Usman stressed that the assessment will focus on tangible outcomes affecting citizens’ lives, and the participants are essential for providing feedback for evaluation.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, emphasized President Tinubu’s commitment to citizens’ active participation in governance and the crucial role of participants in ensuring that Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) deliver on their mandates.
Akume reiterated that the Renewed Hope Agenda goes beyond economic growth, aiming to create a more just and equitable society, improve education and health, reduce poverty, and provide opportunities for all Nigerians to succeed.
