Every year, the Board of Admissions awards the prestigious Presidential Scholarship to incoming first-year students who showcase exceptional academic performance. Beyond their outstanding academic records, Presidential Scholars are recognized for their leadership and excellence in both school and community activities. This $25,000 tuition scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study at Boston University.

Benefits: The Boston University Presidential Scholarship offers $25,000 in annual funding for successful scholars.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Rank within the top 5% of their high school class.
  • Exhibit outstanding extracurricular achievements in school and community.
  • While test scores are not mandatory, students who submit scores generally:
    • Have SAT scores above 1500.
    • Have ACT scores above 33.
  • Be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or eligible non-citizens to be considered for all merit awards and other scholarships.
  • International students are eligible for the Trustee and Presidential Scholarships only.
