Audu Ogbeh, the former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), mourns the loss of his daughter, Odema Akerele, who passed away at the age of 41 on Friday, February 9.

Mrs. Akerele was laid to rest in a private ceremony on Saturday following a requiem mass at the Church of the Assumption in Asokoro, Abuja. Prior to her burial, a service of songs was held for her in Abuja, moderated by actress Chigul.

Akerele, who served as the chief operating officer of Rendeavour and Alaro City, was remembered fondly by her colleagues, who described her as a caring, supportive, and loyal friend who brought joy to those around her. Her positive energy and enthusiasm touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, parents, and siblings. A memorial website has been set up in her honor to cherish her memory.

Senate minority leader Abba Moro extended his condolences to the grieving family, offering prayers for the departed soul and urging them to take comfort in the belief that Akerele is now in a better place.
