AC Milan warmly welcomes Samuel Chukwueze as a hero

AC Milan players and coaches welcomed Samuel Chukwueze back with open arms on Wednesday after his participation in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

Chukwueze played a big role for Nigeria, helping them reach the AFCON final for the first time in 11 years.

He left Milan for international duty on January 2, right after playing against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia.

During the AFCON, Chukwueze played in five out of Nigeria’s seven games, even though he didn’t score any goals.

A video posted on the club’s Instagram showed the heartwarming moment when Chukwueze was warmly greeted by his teammates at the training ground. Players like Rafael Leao were seen embracing him.

Coach Stefano Pioli also shared his excitement about having Chukwueze back.

Chukwueze, who joined AC Milan from Villarreal in Spain, received a warm reception from everyone at the club upon his return.
