Nigeria has been placed in Group A, where they are set to face Equatorial Guinea, host Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea-Bissau in the group stage matches.
Prior to their departure, the Super Eagles enjoyed a dinner with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday. The event took place at the State House in Marina around 10 pm, and it was attended by key figures such as President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ibrahim Gusau, immediate predecessor Amaju Pinnick, former Nigeria international Segun Odegbami, and various NFF board members. Coach Jose Peseiro and other members of the technical team were also present at the gathering.
