Sanwo-Olu Mourns Passing of Former Aide, Abdulraheem Owokoniran

The demise of Abdulraheem Owokoniran, former Senior Special Assistant on Works and Infrastructure to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has left the Governor deeply saddened. In a heartfelt message conveyed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed profound shock at Owokoniran’s passing.

Owokoniran, known for his vibrant contributions to politics and development, had previously served as an aide to Senator Oluremi Tinubu and had contested in APC’s House of Representatives Surulere Federal Constituency bye-election primary. His untimely demise, reportedly in the United Kingdom over the weekend, has cast a somber shadow over the political landscape.

Expressing solidarity with Owokoniran’s younger brother, Mr. Idris Aregbe, who serves as his Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Governor Sanwo-Olu extended his condolences to Owokoniran’s family, friends, and political allies. The Governor lamented the loss of a trusted party member, praising Owokoniran’s loyalty and contributions to the Lagos APC.
