Actress Rita Dominic has opened up about her decision to wait until the age of 46 before tying the knot, shedding light on her personal journey to finding love and happiness.
In a recent interview with Joy 99.7 FM, the now 48-year-old actress disclosed that her husband, Fidelis Anosike, was a longtime friend before their relationship blossomed into love and eventually marriage.
Addressing inquiries about her delayed marriage, Dominic explained, “I wanted to ensure that my decision to marry was based on genuine love and not societal pressure. Despite facing years of societal expectations, I remained steadfast in my resolve to follow my heart.”
Dominic emphasized her commitment to marrying for authentic reasons, asserting, “I always maintained that I would marry the man of my dreams, not the man society expects me to marry. In the event of any challenges, I would be the one to face them, not society.”
The actress and Anosike exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony in April 2022, followed by a white wedding in North Yorkshire, England, in November of the same year. Surrounded by loved ones and industry peers, the couple celebrated their union in a joyous ceremony attended by notable celebrities such as Kate Henshaw, Chioma Akpotha, and Blessing Egbe.
In an Instagram post shared on July 11, 2022, Dominic revealed her preference for keeping her relationship private, underscoring its importance and perfection in her life.
