In the video, the 40-year-old artist accused unnamed individuals of harboring intentions to “destroy and kill” him due to his commitment to speaking the “truth.”
Seun Kuti expressed his frustration, revealing an ongoing barrage of court cases and police invitations over the years. He emphasized facing these challenges alone, stating that authorities are attempting to silence him for boldly stating the truth about the country.
He declared, “Because I am saying the truth, they are trying to destroy and kill me. They are trying to bring me down and destroy my name.” Seun Kuti concluded by highlighting the historical struggle of truth-tellers, indicating that silencing advocates for truth has been an age-old practice.
