The passing of former Kwara South Senator Rafiu Ibrahim has stirred deep emotions, with ex-senator Dino Melaye expressing profound sorrow over the loss.

Ibrahim, who served as a senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, breathed his last in the early hours of Wednesday following a brief illness. At the age of 57, he left behind a legacy of service and dedication to his constituents.

His final resting place will be at the Muslim cemetery in Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara State.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Melaye mourned the departed, saying, “My brother, friend, and ally. Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim rest in peace.”

Meanwhile, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed shock and sadness at the news of Ibrahim’s demise. Offering his sincere condolences to the late senator’s family, the people of Ojoku in the Oyun Local Government Area, and the PDP, the governor emphasized the inevitability of death and the unpredictability of its arrival for every individual.

As the community mourns the loss of a respected leader, Ibrahim’s contributions to Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole will be remembered and cherished.
