The Police Service Commission (PSC) has granted approval for the elevation of former police public relations officer for Zone 2 and Lagos State Command, Dolapo Badmos, to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police.
In an announcement made on Wednesday and conveyed by PSC spokesman Ikechukwu Ani, the commission, presided over by former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase, disclosed the promotion of a total of 14 Commissioners of Police to Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGPs), 21 Deputy Commissioners to Commissioners, and 20 Assistant Commissioners to Deputy ranks.
As part of the promotions, 109 Chief Superintendents of Police advanced to the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police, with Dolapo Badmos being among them. The promotion was based on a recommendation from the current Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to the commission.
Presently serving as CSP Administration at Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters, Abuja, Badmos shared the news of her promotion on Instagram, expressing her joy with the caption, “New Level uploaded, a big congratulations to me.”
