Blessing Osimhen, sister to the talented Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, has stepped up to defend the national team in the wake of their defeat to Cote d’Ivoire in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

Despite a valiant effort from the Eagles, who ultimately fell short with a 2-1 loss against the Elephants at the Alassane Quattara Olympic Stadium in Abidjan, Osimhen’s sister emphasized the importance of supporting the team rather than criticizing them.

In an Instagram post on Monday, she lauded the Super Eagles for their commendable performance throughout the tournament, urging Nigerians to refrain from harsh criticism. Instead, she encouraged fans to show appreciation for the team’s efforts and offer positive reinforcement.

“What a great game from the Super Eagles! They poured their hearts into this tournament. No one should criticize them for their performance because they have all performed admirably. Let’s appreciate them and send positive vibes their way (MOTIVATION BRINGS MORE REASON TO WORK HARDER),” she penned.
