Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovation Magazine, has come to the defense of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua, in response to the allegations made against him in a recent BBC documentary.

The documentary, released on January 8, featured interviews with individuals claiming to be Joshua’s former disciples, who alleged incidents of rape, sexual assault, and torture within the synagogue community.

In defense of the cleric, Momodu took to Instagram on Monday night to express his viewpoint. He acknowledged the existence of both good and bad aspects in every individual, emphasizing that Joshua, like anyone else, had both sides. Momodu, a friend of Joshua’s family, highlighted the positive impact the late prophet had on many afflicted and needy individuals, referring to him as an “angel” to those in distress.

While recognizing that Joshua was not Jesus Christ, Momodu praised him as one of the most accomplished prophets on Earth. He concluded his post with a prayer for the continued success of the ministry left behind by Joshua, now under the leadership of his wife, and hoped that it would continue to positively impact the lives of the helpless and hopeless.

In an earlier Instagram post, Momodu acknowledged the challenges and criticisms that Joshua faced during his lifetime and even after his death. He noted that the late prophet was not present to defend himself against ongoing controversies.

Meanwhile, SCOAN has condemned the BBC documentary, labeling it as “roadside journalism” and accusing the news organization of neglecting journalistic principles in its production.
