Actor Sam Dede, along with filmmaker Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, is appealing to the public and colleagues for financial support for movie director Reginald Ebere, who is currently bedridden. The appeal was made on the set of the return of the 2001 hit film “Issakaba,” which was written by Reginald.
In a video shared by actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, Sam and Lancelot urged people to contribute to help the ailing filmmaker. Sam Dede shared the importance of supporting Reginald, who wrote the first script of “Issakaba,” emphasizing his significant contribution to the film.
Lancelot organized a fundraiser on the set, and many colleagues donated money to support Reginald. Sam Dede and Lancelot each contributed N100k to assist the sick filmmaker, who has been battling stroke since collapsing on a movie set in 2018.
The upcoming remake of “Issakaba” will feature the original cast, including Sam Dede, Chidi Mokeme, Iyabo Ojo, Regina Daniels, and Rita Daniels. Reginald Ebere, known for directing films like “Last Burial,” “One God One Nation,” and “Venom of Justice,” needs financial assistance for his medical condition.
