Rebekah Sekidika, a distinguished graduate of microbiology from Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, completed a 21-day fasting organized by Pastor Jerry Eze before her untimely passing, revealed her father Sampson Sekidika at her funeral in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Tragically, Rebekah passed away during a medical procedure at Paragon Clinics and Image Diagnosis in Port Harcourt on February 2, 2024. She was scheduled to pursue further studies in the United Kingdom on February 9.
Mr. Sekidika, grieving deeply, shared, “She was a very obedient child and she made many promises to me. She completed 21 days of fasting with this pastor ‘What God cannot do does not exist’ before she died.” He expressed shock and sorrow upon seeing his daughter’s lifeless body in the operating theater, questioning the unfulfilled promises.
Pastor Eze, known for his popular declaration “What God cannot do does not exist,” organized the fasting.
Sekidika emphasized his belief that his daughter was unjustly killed, demanding justice to bring closure to the case and ensure accountability. He lamented the abrupt end to Rebekah’s aspirations of pursuing higher education in the UK, revealing that all arrangements were in place for her master’s and PhD studies before her tragic demise.
