Musiliudeen Akinremi, a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in Oyo State, has passed away at the age of 51. Known affectionately as Jagaban, the lawmaker’s death on Wednesday has left many in mourning, though the specifics of his passing remain unclear at this time.

Akin Adewale, a close political associate, confirmed the news on X, writing, “We lost Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the NASS. This is really sad. Ah, God.”

House of Representatives spokesman Akin Rotimi also confirmed Akinremi’s death, quoting Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, who expressed deep sorrow over the loss. Akinremi served as Chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions and was recognized for his unwavering commitment to his constituency and the nation.
