Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 64th birthday, praising her as a “remarkable gift to the nation” and a steadfast pillar of support to President Bola Tinubu in his mission to transform Nigeria.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Governor Oyebanji commended the First Lady’s significant contributions to national development. He highlighted her distinguished service as First Lady of Lagos State, her three terms in the Senate, and her current role as the nation’s First Lady, where she continues to leave a lasting legacy.
“Senator Tinubu’s impact through the New Era Foundation in Lagos empowered students, youths, and women, providing them with the tools for personal growth and societal advancement,” Oyebanji said.
He also lauded her work in the Senate from 2011 to 2023, where she championed causes such as women’s empowerment, social development, and advocating for the physically challenged and vulnerable.
The governor further praised her ongoing efforts through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), which has provided scholarships for students, economic empowerment for women in agriculture, and support for the elderly. He acknowledged that citizens of Ekiti State have greatly benefited from the initiative, which complements his administration’s Shared Prosperity agenda.
“On behalf of my wife, Olayemi, the government, and the people of Ekiti State, we wish the Mother of the Nation a joyous birthday. May God continue to bless her with good health and wisdom as she continues to serve humanity,” Oyebanji concluded.
