Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has experienced another tragic loss with the passing of his father, just months after the death of his mother.
The 31-year-old shared the heartbreaking news of his father’s demise on Monday through social media.
“Still mourning the passing away of my dear mother, now my Dad is gone. What is remaining? Wicked world,” Onazi expressed, accompanied by photos of himself and his parents.
Onazi had earlier lost his mother in September 2023. The former Lazio star, who was a key player in the Super Eagles squad that secured the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in 2013, will not be participating in the upcoming 2023 AFCON, set to commence on January 13.
