Kwara State Teaching Service Commission has opened applications for teaching positions in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued in Ilorin on Tuesday by the commission’s Chairman, Mallam Bello Abubakar.
According to Abubakar, interested and qualified candidates can apply via the link https://tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng.
He further stated that the portal will become active at midnight (12:00 a.m.) on Wednesday and will remain open until February 14.
The chairman advised applicants to carefully review the guidelines provided on the portal and refer to the official press statement for details on the recruitment process.
However, he clarified that individuals without university degrees in relevant subject areas should not apply. Similarly, NCE holders without university degrees are also ineligible to apply.
“Applicants who meet the initial recruitment criteria will be invited to take a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at designated centres closest to their local government of residence,” Abubakar stated.
Following the test, successful candidates will be subjected to drug screening at accredited NDLEA centres, along with other verification exercises before employment letters are issued.
“This recruitment process will prioritize a balance between qualification, competence, employability, and availability for deployment to rural and underserved areas, where teachers are most needed,” he emphasized.
