Dare Adeleke, the newly appointed Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee in Ekiti State, has vowed to unify party members and rebuild trust within the party.

In a statement released by the PDP Southwest Publicity Secretary, Sanya Atofarati, Adeleke outlined his commitment to reconciling all factions and restoring confidence in the party. This pledge was made during the inauguration of the caretaker committee, which took place in Ibadan on Sunday and was overseen by the party’s Southwest National Vice Chairman, Kamarudeen Ajisafe.

Adeleke assured that the committee would begin its work immediately, focusing on party discipline, unity, welfare, and teamwork. He also promised a smooth transition of party leadership in Ekiti through credible congresses as instructed by the national party leadership.

At the handover event, Alaba Agboola, the outgoing chairman of Ekiti PDP, emphasized that strengthening the party to secure electoral victories would require the combined efforts of all members. Ajisafe, who inaugurated the committee on behalf of the National Working Committee, expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to harmonize, reposition, and lead the party to success in the state.

Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi, encouraged the Caretaker Committee to use this opportunity to restore the party’s reputation.

Sanya Atofarati praised the PDP leadership under Governors Seyi Makinde and Ademola Adeleke for fostering an environment conducive to the party’s growth in the region. He confirmed that the 22-member committee, chaired by Dare Adeleke, was appointed in accordance with Section 21(2) (a-b) of the PDP constitution.

The caretaker committee members are: Dare Adeleke (Chairman), Ayodele Joshua, Mr. Agbetuyi Joshua, Olonila Benjamin, Mrs. Mojisola Omotosho, Mrs. Modupe Oke, Mrs. Bosede Ayodele, Ojo Ayeni, Mrs. Abeni Olayinka, Ademola Alade, Afolayan Akutupu, Bobby Jeje, Sina Animashaun, Araromi Samuel, Festus Akinbode, Ade Fajana, Ayo Oguntuase, Olanipekun Boboye, Adebayo Jackson, Ojo Fasasi, and Olatunji Ayofe (Secretary), with Asabo Victor serving as Administrative Secretary.
