Internet sensation and actress Ramota Adetu, popularly known as Aunty Ramota, has dismissed rumors that she was in a coma following an unsuccessful Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure.
In a video that went viral on Wednesday, Aunty Ramota is seen eating and displaying her full body, reassuring her fans that she is in good health. Speaking in Yoruba, the petite actress said, “My lovers, thank you, nothing happened to me. This is my body.”
Speculation had arisen after some online platforms (not including YEPS) reported that she had been wheeled into a recovery room in an unidentified hospital in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State. A now-viral video showed a woman, who appeared to be Ramota, being carried by medical personnel while unconscious and breathing through an oxygen mask. The footage suggested she had undergone a BBL surgery that did not go as planned.
In the video, voices can be heard questioning why Ramota was there, with one person claiming she was present for a BBL procedure. These rumors sparked widespread concern and curiosity among her fans.
Reacting to the speculation, Ganiyu Kehinde, known as Ijoba Lande and Ramota’s comedic partner, took to Instagram to clarify the situation. He stated that he was unaware of any surgery and insisted that the rumors were false.
“Please, Nigerians, all that they have been saying about Aunty Ramota being in a coma is a lie. She is not in a coma. There is no one I know with her that I could reach. And I did not intend to talk about it before, but anytime I came online, people kept asking me about the whereabouts of Aunty Ramota.
“I thought it was real also when I saw a video of Aunty Ramota being pushed on the bed. I swear to God I do not know anything about it,” he said.
